Gregory Mario Ward Jr. was born on July 12, 1995 (age 27) in Tyler, Texas, U.S. His father was a truck driver and he has three siblings. He loved football from an early age.
Greg attended John Tyler High School. He won the title of Player of the Year in Texas High School football. In his second year, he played wide receiver and had 53 grabs for 667 yards and eight touchdowns. Ward was a three-star prospect who committed to play collegiate football at the University of Houston.
As a freshman in university, he appeared in 10 games as a backup quarterback and wide receiver. Ward began his second season as a starting wide receiver, catching 15 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown.

Professional Career
Ward signed as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles on May 11, 2017. On September 12, 2017, he was released, then on September 18, he was re-signed to the practice squad. Ward agreed to terms with the Eagles on a reserve/future deal on February 7, 2018. The Eagles cut him on September 1, 2018, and he was signed to the practice squad the next day. On September 7, 2018, he was released.
