Sam Howell joined the University of North Carolina and played college football for the Tar Heels from 2019-2021.
As a freshman in 2019, Howell recorded 3,641 passing yards, 38 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He was named ACC Rookie of the Year for his stellar performance in that season. He also earned Military Bowl MVP honors (2019).
