Spears attended Ponchatoula High School and played football. As a senior, he rushed for 920 yards and had 880 receiving yards with 18 total touchdowns. He was a three-star recruit, committed to Tulane.
College Career
Tyjae Spears joined Tulane and played college football as a running back for the Tulane Green Wave from 2019-2022.
As a true freshman in 2018, the running back played in four games. He rushed for 192 yards and one touchdown and caught five passes for 133 yards and one touchdown.
