Henry joined the University of Alabama and played college football for the Crimson Tide from 2013-2015.

As a freshman in 2013, Henry rushed for 382 yards on 35 carries with three touchdowns. As a junior in 2015, he became the CFP National Champion and SEC Offensive Player of the Year and won the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Doak Walker Award, and Walter Camp Award.
