The North Division champions D.C. Defenders are strong favorites to clinch the XFL Championship. The Defenders beat the Seattle Sea Dragons (7-3) by 37-21 to be the North Division champions.
D.C. Defenders are led by the 2023 XFL Coach of the Year Reggie Barlow. They finished the regular season with the season’s best 9-1 record, with their only defeat coming against the Orlando Guardians in Week 7.
The Defenders have the XFL Offensive Player of the Year in quarterback Jordan Ta’amu. He completed 143 of 229 passes (62.4 percent) for 1,894 yards and 14 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
The Arlington Renegades are the surprise South Division title holders this year. They finished the regular season with a 4-6 record and avenged a pair of regular-season losses to Houston with the win in the division title game.
