Bye weeks are starting to make finding a quality TE streaming option a real challenge on a weekly basis. Fantasy football managers who have been relying on Jake Ferguson or Dalton Schultz will have to go in a different direction at the TE position for their upcoming fantasy matchup.
Here are some of my start/sit options at the TE position for Week 7 of NFL action.

Which TEs Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Tate’s Other Week 7 Start/Sit Options: QB | RB | WR
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
Is it officially time to believe in Kyle Pitts again? The answer is still a little unclear, but his production over the last two weeks has certainly put him back into starting consideration at the TE position on a weekly basis.
Desmond Ridder has put up back-to-back 300-yard passing performances, which has helped Pitts catch 11 passes for 130 yards and a score over the last two games.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will present a tougher challenge than the Washington Commanders and Houston Texans have over the past two weeks, but Pitts is certainly starting to showcase the elite upside he has at the position with Ridder playing better under center.
Which TEs Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
If Fields plays, then I’m fine starting Kmet as a fringe top-10 option at the TE position this week.

But if Fields can’t go, I don’t want to have to rely on Tyson Bagent or Nathan Peterman throwing him the ball to get fantasy production in Week 7.

Should You Start Kyle Pitts or Dallas Goedert?
Oddly enough, Pitts actually has more 10+ point performances in a PPR format than Dallas Goedert this year.
The Philadelphia Eagles passing game has been out of sorts the majority of the season, and Goedert has mostly been the odd man out with the exception of his 25.7 fantasy point performance back in Week 5.
Ultimately, I still believe in Jalen Hurts and the Eagles passing game more than Ridder and the Falcons, but admittedly, this is starting to get much closer than you would think. I’m going with Goedert by a very small margin, given the potential shootout they may get into with the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
Should You Start Cole Kmet or Jonnu Smith?
Can the Falcons offense really make two TEs viable starting options on a weekly basis?
Well, the numbers say the answer could be yes.

Current TE Rankings in PPR Formats:
- Jonnu Smith: TE9
- Kyle Pitts: TE12
Smith may be in a TE timeshare with Ridder under center, but it may actually be better than Kmet’s situation in Week 7.
Kmet will likely be catching passes from the aforementioned Bagent or Peterman this week, which doesn’t feel like a very high fantasy ceiling.
I’m actually going to roll with Smith in this scenario.
