With six teams on bye in Week 7, finding a reliable starting wide receiver for your fantasy football lineup can be challenging. Who is the better play this week, Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore or Baltimore Ravens WR Zay Flowers?

DJ Moore’s Fantasy Outlook This Week
Moore exploded on Thursday Night Football in Week 5 on national television for a ridiculous line of eight catches, 230 yards, and three touchdowns. It’s natural for the fantasy community to pump up his value after seeing what the man can do in a perfect scenario.
Unfortunately for Moore and his fantasy managers, this scenario will not be perfect.
Week 7 brings the first career start of an undrafted Division II quarterback from Shepherd University — located in Shepherdstown, W.V. — Tyson Bagent. This game also brings the lowest over/under line on the board this week at 37 versus the Las Vegas Raiders, who are top 12 against wide receivers.
If Justin Fields were under center, this would be a much rosier outlook, even in a low-scoring affair. But I don’t have high expectations for Moore this week.
We have him ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver this week, but I can’t personally start him as any more than a No. 2 Flex.
Zay Flowers’ Fantasy Outlook This Week
Fun fact: Flowers was my geometry student and a darn good one. Fun fact: Flowers is leading the pass catchers from the Ravens in targets, yards, and rushing attempts this season as a rookie, even above Mark Andrews. Fun fact: Flowers is a yards-after-catch machine and is explosive with the ball in his hands.

He is facing the 17th-ranked defense against fantasy wide receivers in the Detroit Lions. I see Flowers continuing his dominance over the Ravens’ receiver room and putting up a WR2 performance in Week 7 with a legitimate chance at a WR1 score if he breaks one or two big ones.
Which Wide Receiver Should You Start?
In the Pro Football Network Start/Sit Optimizer, PFN’s Consensus Rankings say that Flowers is the player to start. His projected 14.1 points include a projection of 59.6 receiving yards, 6.5 receptions, and 0.3 touchdowns. That doesn’t seem like a big stat line, but it outperforms the consensus projection for DJ Moore (11.4 points).
My ranking for these two wide receivers aligns with the consensus as I see Flowers powering the Ravens’ passing attack in a good game script and Moore struggling with an undrafted rookie quarterback in his first career start.
