How Does the 2023 NFL Playoff System Work?

Each conference will have four division winners and three wild-card teams. Because there are no restrictions between the two divisions, eligible participants in each NFL playoff do not have to play a specific role. The AFC championship game is represented by seven teams.

The host for the weaker teams will be given to the team with the highest position. However, if a team loses a match, it will be disqualified. The first seed is not required to participate in the first round.

The second round will be a little different from the first. The weaker team will be chosen by the first seed. The NFL will immediately expel the losing teams. The NFL playoff championship will be decided by the remaining two teams.

The fourth round of the super bowl will be played at a neutral location. With the rotation method, the conference will choose the home team.
