Who Has Been Fired During the 2023/24 Season
The first head coach to be removed from his post was Josh McDaniels. His second tenure as a head coach lasted just 25 games before he was fired after Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season. McDaniels’ head coach record sits at a woeful 20-33 without any winning seasons in his four. He has yet to make it through two full seasons in a single tenure as a head coach.
McDaniels likely won’t be the only head coach fired during the 2023/24 season. The next head coach on the hot seat is Ron Rivera in Washington. The Commanders were sellers at the trade deadline and with sitting at 3-5 they are in danger of a losing season, which could spell the end of Rivera’s reign.
