Taylor immediately went down again when he got to the sideline and headed to the locker room. Before the injury, Taylor was 5 of 8 passing for six yards. He added 33 rushing yards on five carries.
Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones has been out with a neck injury, and Tommy DeVito has replaced Taylor in the game. The rookie DeVito has not seen any playing time in the NFL.
Fantasy Implications of Tyrod Taylor Injury
This passing game has largely been a mess regardless of who has been under center, and this doesn’t help. Darren Waller is the lone piece you’re considering and he falls into the “TE blob” — a gigantic tier of TEs with more risk than reward on a consistent basis.
Understanding that, he’d still be a fringe top-12 TE next week (Daniel Jones won’t be back until Week 10 at the earliest) in a favorable spot against the Raiders.
Saquon Barkley’s life doesn’t get easier, but there is no actionable here. Barkley deserves to be locked into fantasy lineups across the board, given his propensity for the big play.
